Our acclaimed web series “Assisted Living,” a comedy about a stand-up comedian Dustin (Dustin White), has been picked up for a 4th season by web tv juggernaut KoldCast.TV.  Fired from his job at a burlesque show, Dustin must rebound, but faces challenges from his new girlfriend Josephine (Heather Mingo), who has a few issues.  His only escape is the local coffee house that leads him down another road with equally crazy barista Donna (Casey Larwood).  Written and Directed by David J. Miller of ViralFilmVideo.com and Mindlight Films, Assisted Living marks his second web series (Pitchman) after producing several feature films including “RiffRaff” “Welcome Back To The Barrio” “Finding Preet” and “Once Upon A Time In The Hood.”

With an overwhelming response to seasons 1 & 2 of “Assisted Living” pushing us, we’ve decided to create a third season of the show.  We’ve also added a new sponsor in addition to UnleashVideo.com in the form of KoldCast.tv who’s support for the show has been amazing.  The new season promises to be even more over the top and pushing the limits as Dustins’ character lands on his feet taking his comedy and his prowessness with the ladies to new levels.  In addition to supporting the new season KoldCastTV.com is also showing on their site all of the previous episodes from Season 1 and 2.  A preview of the KoldCastTV.com slate of shows is available at: http://www.koldcast.tv/video/this_is_web_tv

Just looking at footage from the recent shoot for Assisted Living episode 8 (and parts of 9 & 10) last week. We returned back to the apartment briefly where Dustin returns home and is welcomed back by his sister after her hissy fit. It’s been a couple episodes since working with Grace McPhillips who plays “Sarah” and it’s a dream. The only downside is being cramped back in what’s a drab apartment set. We introduced a new character “Daryl” played by comedian Darius Kennedy. He’s another Stand-Up Comedian, and Dustin’s only “black” friend. They bump into each other and catch up and Dairus invites him to perform his stand-up. It also gives him someone his own age to bounce jokes off of. (this will make more sense after people watch the episodes). Anyway, we’ll try to sneek in another shoot outside before winter really hits but either way we have a two month supply of episodes ready to go.

We filmed two new episodes for “Assisted Living” over the weekend focusing on Dustins character and his friendship with Bob. Without giving too much away, Dustin hasn’t hit rock bottom yet but the light is at the end of the tunnel and I can picture Dustin venturing out and talking to other women as he starts to get over his break up with Heather.

We filmed day Two of “Assisted Living” on Sunday, what a trip. Dusin had scenes with his “ex-girlfriend” character played by Sarah Nitz. Her scenes featured Dustin getting thrown out of their house along with some hot flashback scenes. From there we moved to the street where things got crazy. Dustin hangs with a homeless man, played by Bob Farster and Dustin goes off on every subject in a hilarious tirade that will hopefully be as funny on film as it was in person.

We’re also thinking about titles for the show and have a few concerns that “Assisted Living” might sound like a nursing home. If you have any ideas, post a response.

The title of this web series may also change but “Assisted Living” starring Dustin White & Grace McFadden began filming in Chicago today. The series chronicles down on his luck Dustin after he gets thrown out of his house by his girlfriend after she cheats on him. With no place to go, he ends up on his sisters couch and befriends a homeless person who is the only one besides his new guinnee pig that will listen to him.
