VFV has partnered with Rochelle to produce a new series of videos which premiered earlier this week on the web.  The videos are very simple and are born from the feeling in the midwest of being stuck inside with the frigid weather outside.   Rochelle approached me after seeing a trailer for 27 Dresses with Katherine Heigl where she has a huge closet with 27 amazing dresses.  Rochelle’s closet didn’t have 27 Dresses in it but had eleven dresses that she thought represented what a real girl might have in her closet.  So when Rochelle approached me, I jumped at the chance to show the world her closet, which grew into ROCHELLE SHOW after I spent a day with her trying on various items from her closet.  Thumbnails below show some of the items she tried on.     What’s interesting about the Rochelle Show is her openness to share stories about herself and the clothing with the audience as she tries each item on.  The stories range from being accosted at a night club to getting “laid” in Hawaii.  Instead of cutting between each dress we get a voyeuristic view as she struggles pulling a dress on over her head or pulling up a zipper.  Rochelle Show might be just an experiment or it might grow into other episodes that explore other aspects of her life.  Only time will tell.
